The Coastal Group of Parishes is made up of 10 villages, 6 of which are directly on the North Norfolk coast with lovely sandy beaches and the other 4 are approx. 2 miles inland surrounded by farmland. Each village is made up of private, council and holiday homes and some have small caravan sites which means there is a steady stream of holiday makers during the summer months.
There are a few well-stocked general stores and several public houses and restaurants.
Farming is the main occupation of these parishes producing mostly wheat, potatoes and sugar beet.
There are 9 churches, 8 of which are used regularly for Sunday worship and the congregations from each parish organise fetes, coffee mornings and various other fund-raising events throughout the year to raise money towards the cost of the Parish Share.
There is a Rector, a Local Ordained Minister and three licensed Readers serving in these parishes.
